Description
Book an adult cupcake decorating class for you and your friends, and come and have fun creating your own cupcakes! Minimum 3, maximum 8 persons. Perfect for small hen do’s or birthday celebrations. We will spend a morning, afternoon or evening (3-3.5 hrs) creating 6 decorated cupcakes. No previous experience necessary. I will provide each person with 6 delicious cupcakes, and provide all the materials to create your own designs. For parties of up to 8 we will be in my home based studio in Billingshurst. If you’d like to have the party in your own home, I am happy to travel up to an hour to you, charged as a return journey from Billingshurst. Please note, there is ONLY WEEKEND AVAILABILITY for parties. If you’d prefer to make a day of it and decorate 12 cakes each, please get in touch!
What is involved?
I’ll talk you through creating a selection of different designs, using specialist cake decorating equipment. Learn how to use different piping tips to create different effects, and how to make fondant toppers and domes to decorate your cakes. If you have a specific theme you’d like to work on, or specific skill you’d like to cover, please just ask. Otherwise I’ll show you a selection of fun and transferable skills you can use to create your own delicious treats at home.
What will be covered?
A decorating skills cupcake class will cover:
- Piping buttercream in different styles
- Using cutters and veiners to create simple edible sugar flowers
- Edible paints and colours
- Using modelling tools
- Creating your own cupcake toppers with fondant
A box will also be provided for each guest to take home their creations. To check my availability for your chosen date, please get in touch. Please note, there is little availability over the months of May – August, but I will help if I can.
Allergens:
In this adult cupcake decorating skills party we will be using wheat based flour, eggs, dairy and soya based products. No nuts will be used in the recipes for the class, however cakes are made in a kitchen which uses sesame, nut and nut products. Unfortunately ‘free-from’ cupcakes and ingredients are not available.
Prices:
£45 per person for 3 people, or £40 per person over 3 people up to a maximum of 8. Once you have confirmed availability for your chosen date using the form below, secure it in my diary with a £100 booking fee. Dates are not confirmed until this has been received, and dates are only held for 48 hours after confirmation of availability. After this point, please reconfirm your date before booking.
PLEASE DO NOT PAY THE BOOKING FEE UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED MY AVAILABILITY FOR YOUR CHOSEN DATE.
Terms and Conditions
PAYMENT:
1.1 You’ll receive an email after your purchase confirming your booking. Once booked, parties are non refundable and non transferable.
1.2 Your chosen date cannot be guaranteed until a booking fee has been made.
1.3 A booking fee of £100 must be made and received at the time of booking.
1.4 Final numbers for the party, and final payment must be made no less than 1 week ahead of the party date. After this point there will be no option to change to allow me time to prepare the correct amount of materials and ingredients.
CANCELLATION BY YOU:
2.1 You may cancel your adult cupcake decorating party up to 8 weeks before the booked date. Under these circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund of your booking fees.
2.2 If you cancel 3-8 weeks before the party date you will be entitled to a 50% refund.
2.3 Cancelling within 3 weeks or less of the party date will mean you are not entitled to a refund, however, at our discretion and availability, you may be offered another date on which to hold the party. This option to rebook the date will be for within a 6 months period only.
2.4 If you wish to cancel your party date, please do so in writing to carrie@caritascakedesign.co.uk. Please note refunds may take up to 2 weeks to process.
2.5 Whilst we wish to be fair and take your circumstances into account when looking at transferring your party fees, if you do not give us any prior notice of non attendance, or simply just don’t turn up on the day, then you will not be entitled to any form or refund or alternative arrangements.
CANCELLATION BY US:
3.1 If in the unlikely event we need to cancel a party, we will endeavour to give you at least one week notice. You will have the option of rebooking another party at a later date, or a full refund. Please note that full refunds may take up to three weeks to process.
3.2 We will not be liable for any losses (including, but not limited to travel, accommodation or loss of earnings) incurred as a result of the party cancellation or modification as set out above, beyond the cost of the party holding fee.
NON ATTENDANCE:
4.1 Final numbers for booking are taken a week prior to the event, when final payment for those numbers is also due. After this point no further changes can be made to the booking. If any of your guests are unable to attend and wish to cancel their booking after this point, then there will not be the option to refund or move their booking to another date.
4.2 If any of your guests simply do not turn up, then no refunds, or transfer of dates will be available.
4.2.1 However, I will be supplying the items they would have otherwise used as part of the booking. So if you, or any of the other guests wish to use them at the party, then this will be allowed. This may mean someone gets to decorate two boxes of cupcakes, as long as doing so falls within the timeframe of the party.
BEHAVIOUR POLICY
5.1 Whilst a certain level of excitement is to be expected at parties, for the safety of all present, I cannot allow excessive noise and disruptive behaviour. This may include, but is not limited to, throwing, inappropriate use of tools, disorderly behaviour or bullying/excessive teasing of other party members.
5.2 A final set of rules will be emailed to the party organiser ahead of the party date. I do ask that this is sent to all the guests so they are familiar with my expectations before the event.
5.3 At no time will I accept verbal, or physical abuse from another adult. If either I or another guest is threatened or assaulted, I reserve the right to ask the abusive guest in question to leave, regardless what stage we have got to in the activity. In this instance neither the organiser or the individual in question is eligible for any kind of refund or compensation. Nor will any option to rebook be made.
5.4 I do not accept bullying or ‘picking on’ other people. The guests are likely to all be at different experience levels, and therefore some variation in skill is to be expected. The guests will be expected to adhere to the ‘if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all’ philosophy, with regards to each other’s work. If I feel this is not followed adequately then terms as set in 5.4 will be enforced.
